'...and don't the kids just love it' was recorded at mount pleasant four-track recording studio in 1980 and originally released on rough trade the year after. musically the album is sparse, rough and basic but with 14 perfect pop songs. the album is a loving ode to sixties-era pop and pop culture, referencing movies ('look back in anger'), kinks-like class commentary ('geoffrey ingram') and psychedelic casualties ('i know where syd barrett lives'). every home should own this album.
