August Gilde cemented his place in the UK's Folk/Rock scene with his acclaimed debut album A Different Kind, which was produced by John Wood (Nick Drake, John Martyn, Sandy Denny etc). The album has received national and international radio plays, a live session for BBC Introducing York's Balcony Sessions, and lined him up to support Gemma Hayes on the Northern Leg of her UK tour in autumn 2024.

Gilde's new album Animals, produced by ex Coal Porters bassist Tali Trow, is set for release late summer 2024 and features the single "Animals" featuring Kseniya Simonova (BGT and AGT golden buzzer). Simonova also created the accompanying music video, and Glastonbury's rising talent finalist Lucy Kitchen duets on "Songs For The Moon".

Described by Mark Rogers on his Radio New Zealand 'Nashville Babylon' program as 'simply stunning music' and BBC Introducing calls it 'Beautiful!', Animals was written from Gilde's cabin in the woods in the Yorkshire countryside. The album is almost like a collection of poems accompanied by delicate fingerpicking guitar work, double bass, and pedal steel guitar, showing the growth and maturity of an artist about to bloom.
