Redbone, the Native American rockers, released A's and B's for Sony and RCA Records in the 1970s. Their first hit in the US and Europe was "Maggie", followed by the huge world-wide smash "The Witch Queen Of New Orleans". "We Were All Wounded At Wounded Knee" reached Number 1 in Belgium and Holland, and "Come And Get Your Love" was a Top 5 US hit. Fifty years on, "Come And Get Your Love" is still used for ads of all descriptions!
The band, led by original founding member Pat Vegas, continues to tour and record. This album is digitally remastered and slipcased, with new notes. Tracks include: "Crazy Cajun Cakewalk Band", "Night Come Down", "Maggie", "New Blue Sermonette", "Alcatraz", "Light As A Feather", "Who Can Say?", "The Witch Queen Of New Orleans", "Chant: 13th Hour", "When You Got Trouble", "Niji Trance", "Jerico", "Message From A Drum", "One Monkey", "Fais-Do", "Already Here (Brujo)", "Poison Ivy", "Condition Your Condition", "We Were All Wounded At Wounded Knee", "Speakeasy", "Come And Get Your Love", "Day To Day Life", "Chant Wovoka", "Wovoka", "Clouds In My Sunshine", "Sweet Lady Of Love", "Suzi Girl", "Interstate Highway 101", "One More Time", "Blood Sweat And Tears", "Only You And Rock And Roll", "I've Got To Find The Right Woman", "Physical Attraction", "(Beaded Dreams Through) Turquoise Eyes", "Checking It Out", "Give Our Love Another Try", and "Funky Silk".
