The American-born pianist, David Lively, studied in the USA and in France at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris where he now resides, in addition acquiring French citizenship. Prize-winner in numerous international competitions, including the Marguerite Long-Jacques Thibaud. David Lively has maintained a reflective relationship with J.S. Bach's mysterious and testamentary Art of Fugue for almost 50 years. He offers us a dance-like, colourful, and both carnal and spiritual interpretation of this masterpiece, which still resonates into the future.
