Be A Lover

Jembaa Groove return with Be A Lover, a four-track EP landing via global soul imprint Agogo Records. It follows two critically acclaimed albums and a serious run on the road across Europe and the US, including a SXSW showcase and a widely praised KEXP session.

This release feels like a fresh step forward for the Berlin-based outfit. Rooted in highlife and shaped by Afro-jazz and the more organic side of Afrobeats, Be A Lover moves with warmth, ease and a deep soulful pull.

Across its four tracks, the EP brings together different threads of today’s richly layered Afrofusion sound with real finesse.
