Be My Friend / Is There Someone Else?

Ripple’s ‘Be My Friend’ pairs dramatic harmonies with an up-tempo jazz-soul groove. Originally an album track in the US and a single in Italy, it became a DJ favourite. The flip is Deep Velvet’s Detroit harmony ballad ‘Is There Someone Else?’, recorded for Aware but unreleased at the time and first issued on Kent’s Atlanta – Hotbed Of 70s Soul compilation.
