Beyond The End

This is the eighth studio album from Ed Harcourt and it’s his first to be fully instrumental.

Recorded in Ed’s Oxfordshire Wolf Cabin studio and written on a 1910 Hopkinson Baby Grand piano (the exact make and era of piano that Ed learnt to play on). With Ed Harcourt you’re usually waiting for the lush vocals to come in. With their lack (this IS an instrumental album…and it’s not really a lack..) you can relax and let the piano flow around you. The beautiful notes are unadorned and undecorated falling around you like undemanding, drifting snow. A brief respite from the over-fried franticness of everyday life.
