Blue Train

This album was recorded on September 15, 1957, in Hackensack, New Jersey. The personnel include Coltrane's Miles Davis bandmates, Paul Chambers on bass and Philly Joe Jones on drums - both of whom had worked before with pianist Kenny Drew - and trumpeter Lee Morgan and trombonist Curtis Fuller, who were then up-and-coming jazz musicians and would go on to join Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers.
