The songwriter's songwriter, Jackson Browne left his fingerprints all over the US West Coast scene of the early 70s, Eagles having scored their first hit in 1972, with their recording of the Browne-penned 'Take It Easy', and the likes of Linda Ronstadt and The Byrds all laying down versions of his songs, even as Browne himself took them into the charts on albums such as Late for the Sky (1974) and The Pretender (1976)
