Can I Offer You A Song

Chip Taylor had a very busy pandemic. At the beginning, Taylor (Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee in 2016) was enjoying one of his biggest hits. The Netflix hit Sex Education used 'On The Radio' over the climactic scene of Series 2 which led the song to #1 on the Tunefind/Billboard TV songs of 2020. On Spotify, On the Radio has more than 3,000,000 streams.

Unable to tour, Chip released 3 albums in 2020, In Sympathy Of A Heartbreak, NY To Norway and Back, and Dad and The Monkey. In addition, he released the well-received topical song, I've Got History On My Side.

As 2020 came to a close, Chip wrote another batch of songs which he sent to his co-producer/ collaborator Goran Grini in Norway and his longtime guitarist John Platania. Working remotely, the three musicians sent the tracks back and forth and created this new double album - Can I Offer You A Song. These 20 new wonderful songs are highlighted by the initial singles, 'Go' and 'Lost Birds'. They are influenced by the pandemic lockdown but are hopeful and forward-looking.
