Candomblé: Sacred Rhythms in Brazil is a double vinyl compilation and bilingual book documenting a living Afro-Brazilian spiritual tradition. It pairs archival recordings from Ilê Axé Opô Aganjú (1985–88) with newly commissioned works by contemporary artists (DJ Anderson do Paraiso, Felinto, Xexa, Jonas Albrecht, DJ Sandrihno, Gabi Guedes and Sávio de Queiroz, Vincent Taeger, Kimia), and combines historical research, essays, and visual materials to trace Candomblé from its origins in the trauma of the Atlantic slave trade to its vibrant, evolving presence across Brazil and beyond today.
