Carol (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Carter Burwell's intimate Academy Award-nominated score for the Todd Haynes 2015 romantic drama film Carol makes its 12" vinyl debut.

Reflecting the film's 1950s setting, Burwell's score brings together the main elements of the movie using a jazz-influenced chamber ensemble.

Starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara, Carol is the story of a forbidden affair between an aspiring photographer and an older woman going through a divorce. The soundtrack also contains songs from the film, including Easy Living by Billie Holiday, which Carol receives as a gift and plays multiple times.
