Wind-up Bird Man is the solo project of artist and musician, Dan Mattson. Dan grew up on Narborough Road, Leicester, recently named as the most diverse high street in Britain. Soaking up all of these influences from an early age, Dan has managed to create a vibrant and engaging soundtrack to lyrics that are abstract, often surreal, though raw and emotionally honest at the same time. He has an innate pop sensibility that drives much of his creative process; he believes melody is at the heart of self-expression.
