Between 1968 and 2001 Itzhak Perlman recorded 25 albums for DG and Decca, partnered by some of the greatest artists of his time.  This new edition brings them together to mark his 80thbirthday. The set also includes the highly prized disc of Bach Arias featuring Kathleen Battle, with Perlman playing obbligato violin; Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich Concertos, with Perlman conducting his young protégé Ilya Gringolts, concerto recordings of Saint-Saëns and Wieniawski, and a 'favourites' CD.
