Compost Black Label #36

18 years and millions of streams later, Compost have decided to go for a 2026 repress of Solomun’s now classic Black Label record, originally released in 2008.

This is the original PR text from back in the day: Black Label #36 introduces Mladen Solomun to the Compost Black Label Crew. Solomun, who was born in the heart of Bosnia, grew up and still lives in Hamburg. Beside his residency at Uebel and Gefaehrlich, he is the host of Club DIY in his chosen hometown Hamburg for five years now.

With his first releases on labels such as Diynamic Music, Sonar Kollektiv, Liebe*Detail and Steve Bug’s Dessous Label, his tracks have been played and charted by DJs like Gabriel Ananda, DJ T., Tobi Neumann, Martin Landsky, Laurent Garnier and Tiger Stripes, just to name a few.

For his Black Label debut, Solomun has built three very deep and organic tracks.
