The Slits were one of the first punk bands - and one of the last to make a record. On its release in 1979, the record was regarded as a five-star triumph. The pioneering mix of the band's punk roots and legendary reggae producer Dennis Bovell created an extraordinary masterpiece that ranked alongside other 1979 ground-breaking post-punk classics such as Pil's Metal Box, Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division, and the Pop Group's Y albums.
Forty years on, Cut is still a landmark album and one that sounds as essential as the day it was released.
CD - This reissue also includes two bonus tracks - a cover of "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" and an alternate version of "Love and Romance", entitled Liebe and Romanze.
LP - 180 Gram Black Vinyl. Vinyl includes "I Heard it Through the Grapevine".
