Originally released by Trojan Records early in 1969, Dancing Down Orange Street is today widely regarded as one of the finest and most sought after albums from the classic ‘boss reggae’ era.
The LP showcases a dozen of the most popular late rock steady and early reggae productions of leading Jamaican producer, Sonia Pottinger.
The album is presented here in its entirety for the first time on CD, with the original selection bolstered by a further 13 bonus tracks from the period.
Included are numerous Jamaican hits performed by many of Jamaica’s finest vocal talents from the era, with many making their long overdue CD debut.
It features cuts from Ken Boothe, The Melodians, Delroy Wilson, The Soul Rhythms, The Beltones, and more.
