Death Above Life (Deluxe Edition)

Few bands in heavy music have risen as quickly as Orbit Culture. Death Above Life shows just how far the Swedish quartet have come: modern, focused and massive. “This record represents change, a new beginning,” says guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Niklas Karlsson.

Produced by the band and mixed by Buster Odeholm of Humanity’s Last Breath, Vildhjarta and Thrown, it captures their DIY spirit and dark visual world. Karlsson also points to soundtrack composers Hans Zimmer and Howard Shore as key influences, especially in shaping the cinematic sweep of tracks like Inferna.

The deluxe edition pushes that side even further, adding two previously unreleased tracks, the Japanese bonus cut Nuclear God, and a special version of the closing track The Path I Walk featuring Tina Guo.
