The Sunday Times said album track You Never Come Closer was: "Hendrix backing Bjork ". The track was then sampled by Madlib, since when more tracks became sought after by hip hop fans. It was also compiled on EMI's 'The Best Smooth Jazz...Ever' album. In its listing of 'Forty Essential Funk Albums', www.blaxploitation.com placed Did You Give The World Some Love Today, Baby alongside James Brown, Manu Dibango, Earth Wind and Fire and The Meters.  She was a pioneer, a female bass player and singer in otherwise all-male bands. This definitive, expanded edition tells the full story for the first time and includes all the singles Doris released in the run up to the album's release, solo and as a member of the bands Plums and Dandys. This is a first time reissue on CD for these singles recordings outside of Sweden.
