Originally released in 1995 on Death Row Records, Dogg Food stands as one of the defining statements of West Coast G-funk. The debut from Tha Dogg Pound — the duo of Daz Dillinger and Kurupt — channels the raw energy of the post–Doggystyle era into a hard-hitting, funk-laced record full of vivid street storytelling, razor-sharp lyricism, and laid-back menace.
