Spanky Wilson is a soul funk and jazz singer from Philadelphia. “Doin’ It” has become one of her most sought after albums in its own right, and for the breaks sampled by a who's who of artists. Recorded at Paramount Studios and first released on an independent label Mothers Records & The Snarf Company, it was arranged and produced by soul legend H.B. Barnum. Originals have exchanged hands for £200 a copy.
