Dimple Discs presents its first release from the legend that is Jah Wobble - an exclusive dub LP with full-color outer and inner sleeves based on paintings by Wobble himself. This completely solo work features Wobble writing, playing, and arranging, drawing deep influences from Lee Perry and King Tubby with astounding top layer sonics.
Expertly mastered by Anthony Chapman of Collapsed Lung and cut to achieve maximum clarity and volume, this LP showcases Wobble's talent and innovation in the music industry. Known as an English bass guitarist and singer, Wobble gained recognition as the original bass player in Public Image Ltd (PiL) in the late 1970s and early 1980s before embarking on a successful solo career.
In 2012, Wobble reunited with fellow PiL guitarist Keith Levene for Metal Box in Dub and the album Yin & Yang, showcasing his versatility and creativity in the music scene. Since 2013, he has been a featured pundit on Sunday morning's The Virtual Jukebox segment of BBC Radio 5 Live's Up All Night with Dotun Adebayo.
Wobble's autobiography, Memoirs of a Geezer, was published in 2009, offering insight into his life and career in the music industry. He continues to tour with a two-hour show, often presenting Metal Box In Dub with former Siouxsie and the Banshees guitarist Jon Klein, whom Wobble regards as the greatest post-punk guitarist.
