Title

Based around the duo of MC Muipéad - an Irish Language rapper from Conamara in Galway and Cian Mac Cárthaigh, a Dublin-based musician and producer - the goal of IMLÉ is to mix musical styles and art forms together in a way that has never been seen or heard before - particularly in the Irish Language.

IMLÉ's much lauded self-titled debut album explored the meaning of life, our relationship with the planet, and finding hope in despair. The album received many awards and saw the group invited to perform on stages and festivals all over Ireland and the world including Celtic Connections (Glasgow, Scotland), Electric Picnic (Laois, Ireland), Féile na Gealaí (Meath, Ireland), and SUNS EUROPE (Udine, Italy).

Lyrically, the album covers many different themes - from a call to action against intolerance, xenophobia, and racism ("Dúiseann Muid Suas") to the highly unrealistic environment of social media with imagery and profiles depicting perfection ("ÉAD") but ultimately the message of the album is to celebrate the small beautiful things, the everyday, and a shared life - as expressed on their first single from the album "Do Chuid Jeans".
