Feral Bloom

As blacktoothed approach their third full-length album since signing with Arising Empire in 2020, the German trio reveal new facets of their sound. Feral Bloom holds their most personal, emotional and sonically uncompromising work to date.

Across 11 tracks, vocalist Hendrik Rathgeber, guitarist/vocalist Mathilde Keitel and drummer David Sommer explore the complexity of raw human emotion. The album expands on blacktoothed’s musical variety, intensifying the shouts and breakdowns while maintaining their soulful vocal duality and playful guitar solos.

To bring the record to life, blacktoothed teamed up again with producers Christoph Wieczorek of Annisokay and Vince Ebicht at Sawdust Recordings. Peter Leukhardt handled the visual storytelling through the music videos, while graphic designer Marius Rietze returned to create the artwork following the band’s 2025 album Headway.

Recorded across multiple sessions over 18 months, Feral Bloom emerged from a process the band describes as equal parts creativity and chaos. From that unpredictability came a record defined by honesty, connection and a renewed embrace of their heavier side.
