Compiled by Chris Kimsey from performances on the Steel Wheels/Urban Jungle Tour, Flashpoint arrived in 1991 as a sharp, road-tested live document. It captures the scale and energy of that era with the kind of directness that makes a great tour record worth returning to.
The tour, along with the two studio tracks recorded for Flashpoint, also marked the final chapter for bassist and long-time member Bill Wyman. That gives this release an added sense of occasion, preserving the end of a significant stretch in the band's history.
