Morta Skuld released their third studio album, For All Eternity, in 1995. Formed in Milwaukee in 1990, the celebrated US Death Metal masters had already released two albums on Peaceville Records by the mid-1990s. Their debut, 'Dying Remains', came out in 1993.
Returning to Peaceville in 2017 after a 20-year hiatus, the band, led by founder David Gregor, unleashed the brutal opus 'Wounds Deeper Than Time'. However, it was 'For All Eternity' that showcased Morta Skuld's unique blend of heavy and brutal Death and Doom, infused with atmospheric and melodic elements.
Unlike many of their peers in the US Death Metal scene at the time, Morta Skuld took a different path with their music. Their sound stood out with its mix of aggression and melody, setting them apart from the high-octane releases of the era. One standout track on the album is 'Germ Farm', originally by cult death metal act, Dr. Shrinker.
