In 1978, Kiss released solo albums from all four members at the same time. On his set, Gene Simmons, often linked to the band’s heavier side, shows a deep love of The Beatles through songs like See You Tonite, Always Near You, Man of 1,000 Faces, and Mr. Make Believe.
There is plenty more going on here too: choirs, string arrangements, 70s funk, and good-time rock n’ roll sit alongside heavier cuts like the hit single Radioactive. It is a wide-ranging, curious record that pulls in some brilliant guests.
