GETGETGET

Editions Mego presents GETGETGET, a new release from Thomas Brinkmann shaped from material by Peter Rehberg and Brinkmann, folding their voices into a strange third presence. The title nods to Rehberg’s PITA trilogy, Get Out, Get In and Get On.

Developed from a live performance at the label’s 30th anniversary in Berlin, this is a dark, side-long study in silence, extraction and perception. Drawing on Günther Anders’ “negative music” and Heinrich Böll’s “collected silence,” pauses become part of the structure rather than empty space.

The two long pieces carry traces of both artists’ logic, fused into something ghostly and hallucinatory. It’s an album where absence and presence hold equal weight, and where Rehberg’s influence still resonates across the radical experimental electronic avant garde. Includes a fold-out insert with liner notes in English and German.
