Glitter (25th Anniversary)

Mariah Carey’s eighth studio album, Glitter, also serves as the soundtrack to the 2001 film of the same name. Released in September 2001, it draws on disco, funk, R&B, hip-hop and pop, channelling the bright, retro feel of the early 1980s through Carey’s unmistakable voice and songwriting.

With songs including Loverboy, Never Too Far and Lead The Way, the record moves through love, ambition, heartbreak and self-discovery. Over time, Glitter has found a devoted audience, with its nostalgic production, strong ballads and inventive blend of classic disco with contemporary R&B and hip-hop now widely celebrated.

To mark its 25th anniversary, Glitter is being reissued on vinyl for the first time since its original release.
