Good Mother' is the third album by the jazz/hip hop duo Ferge X Fisherman. It features guest appearances from Mick Jenkins (US), Takuya Kuroda (JP), Jerome Thomas (UK) and Ceeopatra (DE). Growing up can be exhausting, even overwhelming. Ferge X Fisherman explore the complexity of this process on 'Good Mother'. Rapper Fritz Fisherman shares formative experiences, evaluates past decisions and captures the universal fears of this phase of life - career, relationships, financial and emotional responsibilities. Over the course of the album, uncertainties often play a role. Musically, Ferge X Fisherman consciously create a contrast to these feelings. Employing gospel choirs, soulful Rhodes chords, wah-wah guitars and vintage strings, the songs often have a '70s film soundtrack vibe.
