Gucci Mane, born Radric Delantic Davis on February 12, 1980, helped bring trap music to mainstream audiences in the 2000s alongside fellow Atlanta rappers T.I. and Jeezy. After Trap House (2005) entered the Billboard 200, he followed with Hard to Kill (2006), which gave him his first Billboard Hot 100 entry with Freaky Gurl.
Released in October 2006, Hard to Kill paired Gucci Mane with a young Zaytoven across church-organ-and-808 production that helped define trap for a generation. It arrived before Trap-A-Thon later that year and Back to the Trap House (2007) following his move to Atlantic Records.
This special vinyl edition brings a pivotal early project back into focus, with exclusive bonus tracks that capture the hunger, charisma and work ethic behind Gucci Mane's early run. A vital document from one of Atlanta rap’s key architects.
