Tim O'Brien presents He Walked On, his 18th solo album. The album features eight new originals and five covers from Yip Harburg, R.B. Morris, Bill Caswell, and others.
O'Brien weaves uniquely American stories of the workplace, immigration, the Internet, and race relations. Standout tracks include a tribute to the late John Lewis - "When You Pray (Move Your Feet)", and a poignant song about the children of Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings - "Can You See Me, Sister?".
The album features a talented lineup of musicians, including drummer Pete Abbott, guitarists Bo Ramsey and Chris Scruggs, bassist Edgar Meyer, keyboardist Mike Rojas, and vocalist Odessa Settles. Additionally, regular band members Mike Bub on bass, Shad Cobb on fiddle, and Jan Fabricius on vocals and mandolin round out the stellar ensemble on this latest release from Tim O'Brien.
