Los Angeles-based psychedelic garage-rock trio The Spyrals return to Fuzz Club with Heavy Smoke, their first album for the label since 2020's Same Old Line. Led by guitarist/vocalist Jeff Lewis alongside Georgia Feroce (keys/vocals) and Dash Borinstein (drums), the band strips their fuzzed-out rock’n’roll back to its most instinctive form: live, loose and locked into the groove. Where earlier records have moved between cavernous garage jangle, bluesy fuzz, psych repetition and sun-baked country, 'Heavy Smoke' throws those strands into what Lewis calls “a blender of all those styles” – and then hits record before the moment can disappear.
