The Decemberists' second full-length contains all of the elements that made their debut so highly acclaimed, but this time out Colin Meloy and company have presented us with an entirely darker affair. Her Majesty is still filled with lush instrumentation and Colin's witty storytelling lyrics, but most of the songs are slower and longer.
