Title

‘Here Comes Joy’ is the fourth album by The Mostar Diving Club. Written in a farmhouse in the idyllic solitude of Southern France, it came to life in the noise and clatter of London’s Shepherds Bush. Recorded by Pete Hobbs of The Boy Least Likely To- jangly guitars, cellos, choirs and mellotrons all club together to create an intimate musical landscape through which the listener travels from the countryside to the city and then back again.

The memorable songs and unusual arrangements of singer/songwriter Damian Katkhuda tackle life head on. The wisdom of fatherhood on Lovely Bones beautifully juxtaposes the fears for the human race in the hymm like Nobody Remained. The dry humour and lackadaisical ambition of Busy Doing Nothing clashes perfectly with the plaintive heartfelt ballad ‘If You Love Her Madly’. ‘Here Comes Joy’ is an introverted uplifting album.

Damian Katkhuda first came to prominence fronting cult indie folk band Obi in the early 2000s. His music has featured in tv shows, films and ad campaigns including Visa, Honda, Walkers Crisps, Asda, BBC and Channel 4.
