Horehound

Jack White's new band, The Dead Weather, released their debut album Horehound. This album was the first to be recorded and released via White's new Third Man studios and record label in Nashville, TN.

The dirge rock four-piece consists of celebrated musicians Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age), 'Little' Jack Lawrence (the Raconteurs, the Greenhornes), Alison Mosshart (the Kills), and Jack White (the White Stripes, the Raconteurs). The album features a bluesy blend of psych-rock guitar, alternately stark and explosive rhythms, and Mosshart's sultry-to-siren vocals.

Think of a mix of the gothic swagger of the Gun Club, the hellfire vocals of PJ Harvey and Patti Smith, and the riffs and showmanship of the Sonics and the Stones.
