It’s Just A Short Walk! is a limited edition EP of cover songs performed Say Sue Me on a special one-sided transparent 12” vinyl, and released by Damnably Records for RSD 2018. The first song the band picked was Velvet Underground’s Beginning To See The Light and although there were initial concerns about how they would tackle the arrangements, the overall fascination with the song (particularly the lyrics) led to a Pavement esque version. Looking to the next decade, the next song chosen was The Beach Boys’ version of Do You Wanna Dance, a song which is surely the best way to express Say Sue Me’s style and love of surf. Rockaway Beach by The Ramones was next, a band they had always admired both in style and sound, using their own spin to create that wonderful feeling only The Ramones can give you! Choosing the nal song was harder and they came up with Blondie by chance deciding to cover their song Dreaming with a heavy dose of Jesus and Marychain thrown in for good measure.
