Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of The Joker. The timeless album originally released in October 1973 featured the single “The Joker” that went to #1 on The Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart in January 1974. Curated by Steve Miller, J50: The Evolution of The Joker highlights 27 previously unreleased demos, live performances, studio outtakes and rehearsals from hours of tape that have sat for years within Miller’s personal archive.
The 3LP and 7″ box and 2CD set is a journey, with narration by Miller, that documents the “evolution” of each song that appeared on The Joker.
The box and 2CD features liner notes from both Steve Miller and Anthony DeCurtis. The box also feature a reproduction of a vintage The Joker iron-on and a lithograph.
