Jobriath is the debut album of the artists by the same name. His music and personality can be compared to David Bowie and Elton John. It’s an grandiose exploration through the world of science fiction and sexuality. With his voice he combines the opera with vaudeville and he adds layers to the drama. Highlights of the album are the glamorous I'maman and the cabaret driven Movie Queen. As a whole the album is a fascinating trip to the musical world of Jobriath and the many ways he puts his stories in the different musical styles. Jobriath became known as the first openly gay musician to sign by a major record label. During the years he developed himself as a musician with a captivity to combine musical genres. Decades after his career as a musician he became recognized as an important person for his legacy. Artists like Marc Bolan and Morrissey have said to be influenced by his work.
LP - Limited to 750 Copies on Pink Vinyl.
