Lacrimosa

Recorded during Covid quarantine, this is free jazz performed and recorded one person at a time in isolation. Chad and WC didn't even speak on the phone.

One WAV file at a time, they built up a selection of spontaneously improvised compositions befitting the times. WC Anderson was a long time student and protégé of the great drummer Alvin Fielder, who passed away in 2019. Chad Fowler composed pieces for and played alto saxophone in the improvisational group Dopolarians, which was Fielder's last recording session.
