Lightworks

Summers Sons and C.Tappin return with Lightworks, their first release for DeepMatter Records. Made across eight years, it opens a new chapter for the South London trio, leaving behind the sample-led approach of earlier records for fully live instrumentation.

Blending jazz, soul and hip-hop, Lightworks is a personal record shaped by perseverance, hope and purpose. It also finds the trio at their most expansive and accomplished, with a sound that feels thoughtful, open and fully lived-in.

The release is backed by partnerships across jazz, hip-hop, instrumental hip-hop and alternative music spaces, plus support from DeepMatter Records through its newsletter and direct-to-consumer channels. Singles, visuals, release milestones, community-led launch moments and live shows will all support the campaign.
