‘Liquid Gold 25’, produced by Dan Carey, entrusted with producing all of Jacob’s recordings to date, is another crushingly honest and frank portrayal of a bittersweet experience. Dark humour presides over a miserable moment, recollected and beautifully, deftly delivered with that generational vocal. Tipped broadly as one to watch in 2025, ‘Liquid Gold 25’ is an emphatic example of why Jacob Alon might well be one of the UK’s most promising young folk artists in decades.
