Blood's debut album, Loving You Backwards, thrives in the subtle, the ambiguous, the shades of gray.
In the winter of 2021, the longtime Austin residents, Blood, started fresh by moving into a house together in Philadelphia. This move provided them with an opportunity to reorient themselves and spend their time writing music around the clock.
As they delved into the songwriting process, the band's sound began to evolve. Unlike their previous work, which consisted of huge, angry, grandiose, operatic songs, Loving You Backwards took on a different tone.
