After the sold-out Peel Sessions release, Prolapse return to Precious Recordings of London with two fierce four-song sets recorded live for Mary Anne Hobbs’s Breezeblock on BBC Radio 1 in 1997 and 1998.
Aired completely live from Maida Vale Studios and Golders Green Hippodrome, the band even improvised two songs on the spot: Golfer’s Elbow and XA14 1997. Neither recording has appeared on vinyl before.
Spanning the era between The Italian Flag and Ghosts Of Dead Aeroplanes, this set moves from favourites like T.C.R. and Killing The Bland to the rarely played Return Of Shoes, complete with sleeve notes and unseen images.
It’s a sharp snapshot of late-90s Prolapse at full tilt. They’re still going strong too: in 2025, I Wonder When They’re Going To Destroy Your Face arrived on Tapete Records, and On The Quarter Days topped Dandelion Radio’s Festive Fifty. Limited to 600 copies.
