With their fifth album, *Memories of the Future*, The Fourth Wall paint a haunting sonic portrait of a future in crisis. Inspired by thinkers such as Mark Fisher and Frederic Jameson, the nine songs explore the dwindling ability to imagine a future worth living—and the psychological tensions that arise from it. Recorded in Portland’s urban transition zone, the album reflects the atmosphere caught between decay and new beginnings: abandoned industrial buildings meet the early stages of gentrification.
