Issued in March 1974, the album was the band’s first album for Decca Records (appearing on the Deram imprint) and features some of their best loved works such as ‘Nimorodel / The Procession / The White Rider’, ‘Freefall’ and ‘Lady Fantasy’.
Although it failed to chart in the UK upon release, it did break into the US Billboard chart. Camel established as one of Britain’s best progressive rock bands and paved the way for their future success. The album was later hailed as one of the 50 essential progressive rock albums of all time by Rolling Stone magazine.
This three disc 2CD and Multi-Region Blu-ray version features the original album mix remastered by Ben Wiseman, along with 5.1 surround sound and stereo mixes by Stephen W Tayler and seven bonus tracks recorded in 1973 and during the album sessions. It includes an illustrated booklet with essay.
