In true Light Sounds Dark fashion, there’s not much we can say about this record in terms of names. There’s even good reason to doubt the veracity of the ‘various artists’ tag here; the strange, droning sounds of Movements In The Key of Cygnus / The Lux Naturae are indeed bizarre, esoteric and oftentimes creepily beautiful, and they can’t help but hang together as though made by one odd individual with access to echo pedals, string instruments, a vocoder and a mountain of musty old records to be used on a beaten up sampler. Cygnus is a northern constellation on the plane of the Milky Way; this release sounds like it came all the way from there.
