Barbara Lynn was born in Texas in 1942, an R&B guitarist and singer-songwriter who was influenced by BB King, Jimmy Reed and Elvis Presley. She topped the R&B and the US Billboard charts in 1962, and then began to build her a profile to a mainstream audience. Still relevant and active today, she has been sampled by Lil Wayne and Moby with I’m a Good Woman, The Beastie Boys Poor Old Trashman.
