Rufus Beacham was a popular R&B attraction during the early 1950s, he recorded for Bob Shad's Sittin' in With and JAX labels, King Records and Henry Stone's Chart label. Although his fame and popularity seem to have been confined almost entirely to his home state of Florida. This set features his two sessions for King Records, one in 1952 with Sonny Thompson and the other in 1955 under his own name along with his 1952 Ray Charles session. He was without doubt a very popular entertainer who seemed to have enjoyed a career that he sustained for over 30 years without seemingly venturing outside of Florida. Includes fully detailed liner notes.
