An essential set of rare boogie, soul, disco and floaty goodness, High Rise brings together the work of Harry Malone and Tony Poe, recorded around 1985 in Chicago, Illinois. It is deep, warm and beautifully assembled, with that unmistakable Athens of the North touch.
There is more to dig into here too. Harry's previous band The Elusions only released two Chicago 7"s, both now incredibly rare, and both are included on this expanded LP. Solid all the way through, and a real treat for anyone who loves overlooked gems.
